WordPress is chaotic mortal’s blogging platform: the seat it sits on.

Originally, chaotic mortal was named DratNET, designed as a chat forum. Due to a suggestion by a relative, the name was changed to DigitalRAT.NET. You can still find the remnants of entries still referencing the old name if you dig in to the earliest posts via the Archives page.

But the old blog ran on Blogger, Google’s website for bloggers. It soon became obvious that I needed more flexibility. Then I came across WordPress.com.

WordPress.com was a haven to me. WordPress.com was perfectly enough for me. But again, I wanted more.

My answer came when I found a great deal with Netfirms.  I hosted WordPress.org there.

So here I am now, with WordPress.org. The most flexibility I could want. I’m still fiddling, even now!
