Look at Me!

A few days ago, Bill Clinton made a speech in Chinatown, in the front of a big bank. Because it was a school day, and because I had already been to one of his speeches, I didn’t go.

My mother told me, however, how everything went.

The moment Bill Clinton stepped onto a truck that he was giving a speech from, everyone turned around.

Bill Clinton was confused, but none-the-less, he began his speech.

Flashes shone in the audience as he began talking.

Guessed what is going on yet?

Everyone was taking pictures.

Bill Clinton’s great speech continued, and it was a bit of it was aired on ABC that night. While I was watching it, I told my mom a joke.

She laughed, and then told me something funny:

My mom had a friend who had spent quite a bit of money taking a picture of Hillary Clinton. He in fact believed that if Hillary Clinton won, then he would have a pretty picture of him with the President. That sounds so much better, don’t you think?

I told my mom that he should have taken a picture with Obama as well, since then he would be secure.

My mom laughed.

The next day, my mom came home and said that she had said what I said to her friend. And her friend had said something funny as well.

“What about McCain?”

What about McCain, is the question. Everyone is so hyped up about Obama and Hillary and the battle and the first woman President and the first African-American President.

Even me, but the real showdown will come later. I’m just glad that Obama and Hillary are caring for Texas now that the early vote is coming soon (March 4). But after that, it’s bye-bye and they’ll act like they never even heard of us anymore. *sigh*
