Hunk of Bread

In my school, we have “snack”. It used to be a kindergartner luxury, because once you “graduated” kindergarten, you weren’t allowed to bring snacks anymore. You also couldn’t take naps anymore.

Well, as part of our new principal coming to our school, the new principal said that we were allowed to bring our own snack.

We, of course, were extremely happy when we heard this news.

I started bringing in seaweed, for I loath seaweed. Some friends started bringing cheese crackers, cheese flavored snacks, among other things, like trail mix and more.

One day, a student in our class brought in an huge hunk of my favorite French bread. He was biting off from it, and everyone was laughing.

Everyone continued laughing about him getting caught for bringing something huge.

That was, until the teacher told him it was okay.

Suddenly, everyone began to congratulate him. “Good job, man!” They kept on saying. Everyone liked him.

As if this wasn’t good enough for me. But I have a nature to ask people about things.

“Can you put ham inside?” I asked her. I couldn’t resist.

“That would be a lunch,” the teacher replied.

I didn’t consider it a lunch, but if you added lettuce, I would. ;)
