Poem: Christmas Star

I wrote this poem today while on a bed, thinking. And Christmas Star just shot out of no-where. I tried to style it on Robert Frost’s Stopping in the Snowy Woods on an Evening.

Christmas Stars

I gaze upon the dark black sky,
And just imagine simply why,
One thing stands out from all,
Very clearly but so small.

It is the Christmas Star.

Christmas Star, oh, Christmas Star,
Brighter than all, it is bizarre,
A scientist comes and says it is dull,
But I know that his words are null.

By watts and by light,
It isnt as bright.
But deep inside my solemn heart,
I know what sets this star apart.

It shines brightly when it is Christmas time,
Brighter and higher than any could climb.
I know its there, though some say not.
I know its there, as I think in my cot.

Christmas day is coming near,
Most know this event is premier,
It shines brighter than ever now,
Even though I dont know how.

The white dot in the glorious sky,
So splendid, so beautiful that I could cry.
That small white star in the magnificent sky.
That small white star in the magnificent sky.
