Peanut’s Urge for Food

Peanut has seemingly gotten braver and braver over time. He seems to be more and more anxious about smelling and perhaps licking the more tastier items in the house.

One month ago, I found one of Peanut’s toys on the couch. There was no way my parents or I could have picked it up and put it on the couch. It was strange.

The next day, Peanut was found on the couch. He had arranged the cushions and pillows in a very comfortable way and he sat on top, paws folded under his body. His wide eyes looked at me, as if saying, Why can’t I stay on the couch?

It was a hard decision, but I had read in a book to be firm to your dog when you were training. I had decided before not to let him on the couch, so with a grunt, I heaved him off.

A week from now, my mom had just come out of the restroom when suddenly she realized Peanut was missing. "Peanut, Peanut!" she called. She was just about to go looking when she saw the big bearing eyes staring intently at her.

Peanut was on the counter. Somehow he had climbed onto the couch, and from there, jumped onto the counter. My mom shouted, and then got him off finally. Those eyes were still staring at her.

Peanut was secretly doing things he shouldn’t. Two days ago, Peanut was caught once more.

My mom had put a bowl of noodles on the table. Next to the table was the counter. Peanut eyed the food intently. While my mom washed some vegetables, Peanut slowly he climbed onto the couch. He slowly jumped on the counter. Then he got onto the table.

By the time my mom looked back, the only things on the table were Peanut and an empty bowl.

"That’s not your food!" cried my mom. My dad walked in at that moment. My dad made Peanut very scared. He jumped off and ran into his crate.

After that time, we were all extremely careful. This afternoon, Peanut climbed on the couch. He once more got on the counter, but was caught.

Peanut really is a cute little lump, but he has to be stopped from doing some things.
