My cute little Peanut really loves my mom. It is probably because she plays with him, hugs him, and does a lot more with him. She also (to my annoyance) allows him to do more things.
Take for example this: usually, if Peanut does not eat his food, we count to 30, and pick up his bowl. The food will be given to him the next time he is fed. But my mom thinks he absolutely cannot miss a single grain of kibble. So here it comes: Peanut doesn’t eat.
So, my mom hugs and pats and then tries again. He will not eat. My mom counts to about 25, but then she stops, for some strange reason. She goes to the fridge and gets milk. After that, she practically makes his dry food with water (next to him) meal which is perfect and balanced, into cereal.
So one day, my mother went upstairs to the computer room, closed the door, and worked. Peanut and I came home after he peed, and I took off his leash. The moment I took off his leash, Peanut himself took off.
From the moment he took off, I knew Peanut was looking for Mom. He began running first to the bedroom (not in it, though, or else I would be the one taking off after him). Seeing my mom was not in there, he ran into the kitchen and back out. Then he practically flew into the bathroom, and jumped up, front paws on the toilet. No one there.
Then he crashed up the stairs, going so fast I thought he would have bruises on his head. But this was not allowed. Peanut is going to risk being shouted at just to go see Mom, I thought as I went after him.
As I reached the top flight of stairs, Peanut had already realized that mother was not up. That was one wrong realization. But it didn’t matter.
I expected Peanut was thinking, Great. I just risked a shouting, and it was a total waste. Therefore, he ran downstairs.
Then, he barked at me, as if asking me, “Okay. I give up. Where is she?”
Funny, huh? I was just about to laugh when mom came down. “Oh, hello, Peanut!” She said, oblivious to anything that had happened.
And this time, I just had to laugh.

Though Peanut did not find mom himself, he is still clever. I like him.
