Hoola Elephanto

So, after the battle, we traveled to the other side of the Dalian Forest Zoo called “Phase B”. There, we bought tickets to see a “African Elephant Show”.

On the show, I sat down, ate some Cheetos, and watched the show.

First, elephants marched back and forth on three legs, picked up some people using the trunks, and did other exhilarating things.

Sleeping Oaf

On the day before my last day in Dalian (yeah, I’m in Dalian now), I visited the Dalian Forest Zoo. It’s the biggest zoo in the province, and AAAA-recommended, too. A few minutes into the zoo, it struck me as odd that the forest zoo had fewer animals than the small zoo of Houston. A few pigeons there, a monkey there, but it seemed were traveling on a rural road.

As I waited for my mom to go to the restroom, I observed the map and decided to go to the pandas, which were unique in China. After thirty minutes of looking, walking, observing, we finally stumbled upon a sign that told us the pandas were eighty yards away.

Noisy Bar in Lijiang

In Lijiang, I loved the quiet feel. It was so peaceful where our inn was located. But all that changed when I took a walk down Wine Bar Street.

One of the local government officers (one of my mom’s friends) took us for a trip down Wine Bar Street.

Highway Experience in China

I’m in China now. After a tiring 16-hour trip, it’s almost amazing to me I’m safely in Xi’an.

But I didn’t come to talk about my flight. Nope, I’m here to talk about my driving trip. The one from Xianyang International Airport, which is nearby to Xi’an, to Xi’an. I’m talking about that thirty minute driving trip.

Nothing strange, you think? That’s what you know, which is just so little about me.

Clay Modeler?

I have always wanted to sit in front of those spinning clay machines and make myself a hoo-loo, an S-shaped water jug used by the Chinese (that’s my kind of people, except you can’t get those in America).

I got the chance today. After a day of playing in the water under the bright sun, building dams out of rocks, making rivers, controlling the “go” of the “flow”, we went back to Xi’an.

From there, we proceeded to go to a clay modeling place. The clay modeling place contained about ten or so spinning machines, and a few tables for modeling people, animals, etc. Basically anything that couldn’t be made when it was spinning.
