When my friend invited me to a basketball playoff game, I wasn’t really sure. I had went once before, and I had spent most of the time trying to get my dad or mom to chat with me.
However, another friend named Rocky was at my house when he had called. He had jumped with excitement, and the look on his face was irresistible. My dad ushered me to go, and told me it was a chance of a lifetime to get invited to a playoff for free. I didn’t even know what a playoff was, but I sensed it was probably an important game.
During the ride to the Toyota Center (the Rocket’s home stadium), my friend Mr. Sunshine (who had invited me) told me what a playoff. “It’s a, like, really important game. Like when two teams face each other off.”

My little dog Peanut doesn’t get things. He knows the complicated things, yet he can’t piece together the simplest, either.

If you haven’t already read Part 1, you might want to do that by clicking here. You will find information on how I got here.
The night’s sleep was so comfortable, the next morning, my dad practically forced me up. When I finally got up and got dressed, my dad complained that we had missed the best time for photographs. I replied by asking him if it was
his own saying that I should always sleep well, and I thought his cheek went ever so slightly pink. When I got up, I noticed that few other kids had waken up. I made mental note and greeted them. It was very fast before everyone else got up. Soon, the picnic table for the camping site was full with salads, noodles, dumplings, bread, Cheetos, drinks, and all sorts of goodies.

I was praying it was not going to rain. If it rained, my plans today would be ruined: the carnival would not open (but it did, you can read about it here), my camping trip would be ruined, the Chinese school physical day would be canceled, and because of that, the Chinese school would reopen, messing up all my plans!
What my dad told me yesterday was not comforting. “It’s going to rain 80% tomorrow.”
But this did not happen. It was clear skies with a tiny bit of overcast! My plans were not upset, so I wasn’t either.

I had been waiting several weeks for the school carnival. It came once a year, and it was always ridiculously fun. I couldn’t wait for the spinning thing, where you stand inside it and get spun up, down, left, right, backward and forward!
This morning, when I got there, however, I didn’t see the spinning thing. I didn’t see a Ferris wheel. Instead, I saw tally marks. I saw walls. I saw bars.
I saw jail.

“Push ‘er in!” I hollered to my dad.
My dad pushed ‘er in.
You see, the “‘er” I’m talking about is none other than my kayak; the boat I bought about two weeks back. You can check out the first time I was on my kayak here. If you haven’t read it, you might want to.
My dad and I had found an excellent lake behind a Kroger and a department store. It was a bit murky and was the color of brown. Having lately been dealing with dog-generated stuff, I kept on assuring myself that it was the dirt that had been sliding off the dirt banks (because they were replanting it presumably with better grass).
Previously, we had came and investigated from another point of view. There had been a long island in the middle of the lake. It was really quite interesting.
Well, today it would be even more interesting, because I was going to ride my kayak on the lake!

Because of Peanut’s changes, we have decided to change our plan for him.
Before you start whining about how changing his schedule isn’t fair to him, think about this. He bugs us everyday, and we have to arrange our schedule around him. Now you can whine.
Without further delay, her is our new plan.

I was a header maniac yesterday. Sound strange? Not if you have been watching me over the last week.
Why?
Over the last week, I have been totally revamping the site. You can see it evident if you’ve been to my site before. The background has changed, the header has changed (actually, it changes every time you reload now), the style has changed, and even the pages have changed! Continue reading

April 9, 2007: This post has been edited!
The last few posts about Peanut made me feel guilty. It just happened that I only thought about the bad parts of Peanut, like “pee-nut”. Well, just for today and a whole bunch more entries , I’ve decided to talk about the great aspects about Peanut.

I believe a disclaimer is necessary for what I am about to tell you.
NOTE: I am personally not responsible if you throw up after reading this article. It is your fault for reading it during or after lunch.
Now that’s put there, let me tell you a bit about poop. In my house, of course.
I was working on my computer. My dad told me to go to sleep.
