4th & 5th day: Peanut— just read the story and you’ll know what I’m talking about. It has to do with doo-doo.
Do you ever pee on the carpet? Of course you don’t, and I can’t blame it all on Peanut. That sentence must have immediatly told you what this story is about.
My mom thought Peanut was mighty sad inside the crate of his, locked up. Whenever we looked at him, he would stare back with those innocent eyes, making you feel guilty. He would leap up and stick his paws in between the bars if you came close.
Well, my mom let him out one day and let him run around upstairs. My home’s upstairs is all carpet (in fact, it’s one big piece) except for the bathroom (and that’s Peanut’s room).
I was working upstairs in the computer room. Taking a tiny rest, I went over to the stairs when I noticed a little black something.
It didn’t take long to realize that was what I picked up with newspapers.
It was doo-doo.
Do you know what doo-doo is? It is poop, obviously. I was not happy to see poop on the carpet upstairs. I called for my mom.
“Mom, did you let the dog roam upstairs?”
“Yes, honey. Why did you ask?”
I slapped my hand against my forehead. “Mom!” I groaned.
“What is it, honey? I’m busy now.”
“There is… is… doo-doo in the hallway.”
“Upstairs?”
“Yep.”
“Nice joke.” My mom retorted.
“I’m serious. Come look!”
My mom stomped over to where I was kneeling, muttering, “Thinks he can trick me. Thinks he can. I’ll show…”
She stopped as she saw the doo-doo. I looked at her. She looked at me. We both burst into laughter… for a quick moment. We quickly became serious because my mom was mad.
She grabbed Peanut and stuck his little nose real close to the doo-doo.
“Peanut! Did you do this?” She asked.
Peanut tried to bite her. My mom turned his head back to the poo.
“NO.” She said slowly while holding on tightly to Peanut. Peanut whimpered.
She stuck Peanut back into his cage. Peanut hung his head low, probably ashamed.
So at least Peanut knows when he does something wrong. That’s good news.
The days of Baby Peanut are passing by.

Did you train Peanut where and when to pee or poo?
Good point. I know when he needs to poo. It’s when his tail goes up! I’m still in the process of training him where to poo, and it better not be in the house!
Well..Peanut is still a puppy…
He’s so cute!
