Please Go Potty

3rd Day: Peanut is learning. He’s learning. He’s still sitting, but he’s learning to go potty. Or to say it another way: I’m learning when he needs to go.

Peanut is going poo. He needs to go poo. But yesterday, he wasn’t going poo until we got him some of this He is eatingNatural Choice Puppy Food (left). He liked that stuff, and he is doing better now that he is eating. And what goes in must come out. So he poos.

I’ve learned something important from this experience. After the bowl is empty, the first howl, whimper, cry, bark, or sound from the dog you hear, you take him outside and watch him closely. When the tail goes up, watch for the poo. Then pick the poo up and dump it.

It seems the old stuff that I fed him (Purina Puppy Chow: you can see the picture on the right) wasn’t very good. But I didn’t know that. It’s usually common to inherit what the previous owner fed him as not to let moving make the puppy feel uncomfortable.

But this new squishy stuff along with Natural Choice Small Bits Puppy is making Peanut feel much better. I am happy for him because now he’s eating, and he is saving us money in the long run by not having to go to the vet.

Catch up to Peanut (which will be easy, since he’s tiny) later!
