A Long Post

This post might be a paticularly long one, so do not frustrate if you cannot finish it in one minute. If you can, well, then I can only say that you are a mighty fast reader for my blog, and you might better off use RSS.

Today is County Fair Day, so you might be guessing why this post appeared at this time. There is no school, and my parents are all freaking out and spanking the school district. I quote my dad: “When there’s a chance, they have a holiday. When there’s no chance anyways, they still have a holiday.”

Well, that was pretty annoyed. This morning, I decided to find a little information about my blog. You can try it too. Go to Google and type in “digitalrat” and the first listing is “DigitalRAT.NET”, therefore my blog is first under there. It was nice knowing that. At least a bot can find my website, not that any of my friends can also find it…

Yesterday, I did not go to sleep until sometime near 11:00 because of my “printing press”. You should go try printing 132 pages fully color in one night. I only got to 66 pages, but that was better than nothing.

Has one minute passed yet? If it hasn’t, I guess I will have to continue droning on and on and on and on…

No stopping, must continue…

Snore.

Sad and Intiguing…

It is a sad and intiguing thing… So sad I must spell it wrong in dismay.

On Friday last week, I recieved news that our music teacher (Mrs. Langley) got her foot broken.

That is all.

I Got A New Computer!

I got a new computer! HEEYA! I know my household is a bit crazy ’bout buying new computers, but these days, it’s one computer’s down, and another one goes POOF! and then one computers too slow, so another one goes POOF! It’s quite fun doing that.

Anyways this new one is a 250GB hard drive and a 1024MB memory dual-core DDR (the DDR2 was not in the package [sniffle]). It’s got a DVD write and a CD write and a DVD read and a CD read all in one little smacking box! Now, that was a great deal for 499 bucks.

According to this pattern, the next computer will be in approximentally 4 weeks…

Crash! Bang! (ok, maybe not that bad)

Failure. Failure. That’s about all I can say. Oh, and I can also say 2846546545212368451855895985221654351664… which in my language stands for failure…

What happened? I have no idea. What the witness (and the person who messed the comp up in the first place) says that she (not I am saying she) turned on the computer. The system froze.

Obviously worried, she turned off the computer through the switchboard. Attempting to turn on the system, the /WINDOWS/SYSTEM32/CONFIG/SYSTEM file was corrupt. Failure. 2846…

Trying to fix the computer, going through the Recovery Console was a no-no. The autoDetect… no-no. The enclosure… just finished, also a nono (2846…)

Sleep! Snap! Snore!

Have you ever had a time when you just couldn’t get why they don’t understand something obvious? I mean, I get annoyed when something like that happens. But sometimes you can’t blame anybody.

Take my experience with my friend. I was trying to tell her to save something to a floppy disk. Couldn’t get easier, hmm? But she insisted that the floppy disk icon (the save icon) was all that was needed to be done. I had to tell her about a thousand times to “select the A drive from the menu in the dialog box”.

She then insisted that I tell her what menu and which dialog box. I’ll tell you, I was practically sleeping. Sleep. Snap! Snore. Believe me, I was sleeping. I was dozing.

So, watch it next time.

That’s ta for today.

Edit

I change what I said earlier… Mr. Sunlight forgot his username and password. Although he is now under Blogger with the identity of our beloved old Naruto.

Today was great. I had lots of fun. Met a new piano teacher and he teaches great, yes he does. Not much to say today, though.

Here’s a thought: after reading this post, scroll down through the main page. Look at all those posts. Wow. Made me suprised. The moral: accomplish little by little but don’t stop, and the results are amazing.

This is Brad wishing you a good night.

Byebye!

Dr. Sunlight just went byebye on DigitalRAT. At least until he finds his password…

A few days ago, I asked him why he was not posting. He told me (then) that he lost his password…

Ah!

I brought home a new table from Office Depot last week. It looks like real wood (notice I used the word “looks”), but like all tables now made, it is made of compressed wood (notice I used “made”).

It was about time I got a new one. The old one is now my computer table. We’ve also been doing a 50% “room makeover edition”. We have a new bookshelf in the workroom too, along with my new computer.

The new desk looks pretty good! Tralala!

Sleepstalker

There is a sleepstalker in my house. He stalks around, patting people, scaring people, and my whole family knows. And even the sleepstalker himself knows. Thats because he’s my dad.

Believe me, last night my dad moved his pillow over to my mom’s side of the bed and patted my mom softly on her butt. Then he went to sleep. The next morning, he woke up and nearly gave himself a heart attack.

“My pillows on this side!” He yelled. Then my mom told him what had happened.

One more mystery solved under our roof.
